Giving is in the DNA of those at the SIU Credit Union, and local charities have regularly been the beneficiaries of their benevolence. With the credit union’s recent $10,000 donation, the Saluki Food Pantry can be added to the long list of worthwhile causes. The gift serves as a prelude to SIU Day of Giving, which is Wednesday, March 1. On that day, the university is encouraging others to follow the credit union’s philanthropic lead and help make an immediate difference in the lives of current and future Salukis.
