Popit joins more than 8,200 fundraising professionals worldwide who hold the CFRE designation, which recognizes experience, professional achievement, knowledge and a commitment to ethical fundraising practices.<\/p>\n

To earn the CFRE designation, fundraising professionals must meet standards established by CFRE International, including professional experience, education and demonstrated fundraising achievement. Candidates must also pass a comprehensive examination assessing the knowledge and skills required of fundraising executives and commit to professional accountability and donor rights.<\/p>\n
The certification is awarded for a three-year period. CFRE professionals must maintain their credential through continued employment, demonstrated fundraising results and ongoing professional education.<\/p>\n
For the SIU Foundation, Popit\u2019s achievement reflects the organization\u2019s commitment to professional excellence and responsible stewardship as it works with alumni, donors and friends to expand opportunities for SIU students, faculty and programs.<\/p>\n
Since 1981, CFRE International has established professional standards for the fundraising field. The CFRE is the only globally recognized fundraising certification and the only fundraising certification accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board.<\/p>\n
